Discover the art of metalsmithing :

Yes: creating silver jewelry at home, with just a simple little corner to work from, is absolutely possible!
That’s exactly how I started myself, and it’s in this same way that I guide you through the course : with a minimum of tools, methods that are accessible to everyone, and lots of practical tips.

The techniques you’ll learn lay the foundations of metalwork. They will not only allow you to make a silver ring with a stone setting, but also to use these skills for much more : simple silver jewelry without stones, earrings, pendants, necklaces… And since silver, copper, brass, and even gold are worked in the same way, you’ll have the freedom to explore other materials if you wish.

Throughout the course, I share my method, my tips, and creative ideas to take things further. I also give you simple solutions to set up a comfortable little workspace at home (even if it’s just a corner of your table).

With this course, you receive:

A video of more than 2 hours, where I show step by step how to set up your workspace and make a ring from start to finish.
A PDF of more than 25 pages, with the full content illustrated step by step, plus a large list of trusted European suppliers for tools, silver, and stones (with direct links so you don’t waste weeks searching).
Access to a private Facebook group, reserved for students, where you can exchange, ask questions, share your creations, and encourage each other.

This is a beginner’s course : no previous experience is required.
I designed it to give you a solid, clear, and practical foundation so that you can start right away.

By learning how to make a ring, you’ll acquire all the basics of jewelry-making : you’ll learn how to measure, saw, file, sand, solder, hammer, shape the metal, and set a cabochon.
These essential gestures are the foundation that will allow you to progress in this craft!

Practical info:

• Unlimited access to the video: you can watch and rewatch it as many times as you like.
• The course is yours for life (personal use only : sharing is not allowed).
• No refunds are possible, since once the material is delivered, it cannot be “returned.”

Make sure you read the informations available in the FAQ below, and note the tools must be purchased separately

FAQ

In what language is the course?
The course is in French. Subtitles (FR & EN) are available in the video. The documents (video + PDF) also exist in both French and English. In the Facebook group, we exchange in both languages too.

Are the tools included?
No. Tools must be purchased separately. But I’ve made it simple for you: in the PDF you’ll find a clear, precise list of exactly what you need, easy alternatives with things you might already have at home, and direct links to reliable suppliers.

How much does the basic toolkit cost?
Around €400–450. But many items you probably already have (an apron, glass jars, scissors, cloths, etc.). It’s an initial investment, but one you’ll only make once: these tools will serve you for years.

Can I practice at home?
Yes! I myself started in a hotel room and later on a tiny table in a rented apartment. In the course, I share my tips for adapting a desk or a small corner of a table, and how to protect your surfaces if needed.

Is it difficult?
Let’s say some techniques take practice before they feel natural… But even with a few clumsy gestures at first, you’ll be able to make a real silver ring with a stone! And the pride of wearing (or gifting) your very first jewel ~ trust me, it’s a unique feeling :)

What exactly will we learn?
You’ll learn how to create a silver ring with a cabochon (a stone with a flat base). You’ll see how to measure, saw, file, sand, solder, hammer, shape, and set a stone. These are the foundations of metalwork, and you can apply them to many other creations later on.

Are suppliers included?
Yes. In the PDF you’ll find a big list of European online suppliers (Belgium, France, Spain, Germany, Holland, UK) for tools, metals, and stones.

Do I need any prior jewelry-making experience?
Not at all. This course is designed for complete beginners, though it also shares useful tips if you’ve already dabbled a bit.

Can I ask questions?
Yes: by joining the private Facebook group you can share your creations and exchange with other students (and with me!). I do my best to be present regularly and answer your questions there.

How long will I have access to the content?
For life. You can download the video and PDF, and revisit them at your own pace whenever you want.

Can I share the course with someone else?
No. The course is personal and reserved for your own use.

Will I learn how to make a ring in a specific size?
Yes. I share my method and tips for getting the right size.

Cuff bracelet Size Guide :

cuff bracelet size guide umya jewelry
1. Measure the width of your wrist (right above the prominent "wrist bone"), using a hard ruler. (the wrist pictured has a size 6cm)

2. Already have a cuff that fits? Measure its inner width to find our your size. (It needs to be an oval open cuff bracelet similar to the one pictured)

Recommendations for a not too tight and not too loose fit :
• If your wrist is rather round, and you appear to fit between two sizes, you may choose the size below
• If your wrist is rather flat, and you appear to fit between two sizes, you may choose de upper size.
• You will also very easily be able to adjust the cuff slightly, closing it a little or opening it a little, including adjusting the shape a little, for a perfect fit.
• Need another size? Let me know : it is most likely doable, without extra cost.

Ring size guide

As I get this question a lot : kindly note that coming to my house to measure your finger is not a service I offer. Thank you for your understanding ! However I will gladly help you by email if you have any doubt or struggle to determine your size, after reading this guide. Do not hesitate to reach out!

Don't know your ring size?

I made a video for you, explaining :

- what a good size fit should be
- how to figure out your size

I highly recommend you to watch it if you're purchasing a ring with a stone, like the Sena or the Kaha ring, as I give specific recommendations for the fit you should look for

You can find it here (and it has French subtitles if needed!)

How to figure out your size :

a • Go to a jewelry shop

Ask for your size in a jewelry shop, they normally always offer that for free and it will take just a minute.

b • Use one of your ring
If you have a ring that perfectly fits the finger you are wanting to buy a ring for : measure its inside diameter :

How to measure the inside diameter of your ring

If you use this method, you can let me know your needed size in the little note in your cart (no need to convert it using the conversion chart).

Very important !
- the ring needs to be perfectly round for a correct measurement (no open ring, no unshaped ring)
- use a thin ring to measure this : if you use a large ring, the size will not be accurate. (it should be less than 5mm/0.196" in width)

If you aren't sure of the size you see, you can send me a picture of your ring on the ruler.

c • Purchase a ring sizer online :
For a few € you can get yourself a ring sizer online. I recommend the kind with multiple rings shown below, which will give you a more precise result

Necklace lengths

The chain lengths offered in my shop are :
37cm
41cm
51cm

These lengths usually come with an additional 4,5cm extender. So for example a 37cm chain with extender, will allow you to adjust the length from 37cm to 41,5cm.

:
it means your jewel is already made and in stock.
