How it is made

Made by hand,
one piece at a time.

I work the silver at my bench and set every stone myself, with my only two hands. No moulds, and nothing ordered in from a supplier.

The unique pieces come out in small releases, once or twice a month. They often hide a vegetal imprint at the back, or a shape cut out of a leaf. Those ones came in a spark of inspiration, and that is the whole point of them.

Who is behind it

Hi, I am Ushas.
This is my bench.

I am Belgian, and I taught myself to work with metal back in 2014. Umya grew from there until it became my full time life. In 2023 my Spaniard and I moved to Asturias, in the north of Spain, where we live on a big piece of land with our donkeys, our ducks, our hens and our dog. Most of the people who wear my pieces are still in Belgium.

Every piece you see here passed through my hands before it reached yours.
